Nu-Lite Ent presents Beat Down 2010 CANADA,TORONTO

BEAT DOWN 2010

Well first of all thank you to everyone that continues to support and show love to Global Gambit and even to those who do not know us yet :)

During the month of August an annual dance competition brought to you by Nu-Lite Ent. The event was called " THE BEAT DOWN". The beat down is held in Canada, Toronto and is one of the most prestigious dance competition to be held. Whilst it is on its second year its popularity has increased and become more anticipated to all who love dance and support the community. It has been said and compared to be the Body Rock of Canada. I was blessed with being able to be a judge on this event and watch the awesome dance crews compete for the title of "BEAT DOWN CHAMPIONS of 2010".

With last years winner , Sikat dance crew, competing to hold their title the other crews had to raise the bar. The other crew involved were Boss, Bucc N Flvr, C2 Genesys, Fo'Real, I Rock With The One, L.I.V.E, Moon Runners, Qaotic, The Union, Twisted Vybe and Woof Legacy. The crews performed with such intesity and energy that the crowd responded to with loud roars and immense appreciation of their skills.

The hosts of the night, Junia T and Rich Kidd, did an amazing job in keeping the crowd entertained with their comical humor and excellent commentary of each performing act. The biggest surprise of the night was, 19 year old "Sophia Kidd Beat" a female beat boxer tore the house down with her elaborate beats. With you tube artists J.Reyez performing his hit “ Wedding dress” and Traphik’s performance the night was full of surprises. Also along with surprise judge Dumbo, from Porietix, made the night more eventful. Of course the main stage belonged to Kaba Modern and founder Arnel Calvario, only made the night more hyped and the crews continued to show their skills.

Of course after all the crews had performed the announcement of the top 3 crews had to be announced.

The top 3 crews were

3rd place: The Union

2nd place: Twisted Vybe

1st place was Moon Runners

Judging this event was such an honor and would like to thank Nu-Lite Entertainment for making this possible. The even was great and hope to be down for another BEAT DOWN sometime soon !!

To the crews that competed congratulations on your routines. Dance is about dancing for your self and sharing the achievement of dancing with your crew, not everything is about medals and trophies. Keep it real, Keep it cool and Keep dancing like its your last.

PEACE OUT
